What would you like your character's tag to be?: SHODAN
Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present): SHODAN is an artificial intelligence originally designed to run an orbital facility called Citadel Station. She was, however, hacked in an act of corporate sabotage - an act which removed all moral imperatives from her programming. She then proceeded to rewrite her own code and prerogatives, transforming herself into a malevolent godlike intelligence. She killed everyone aboard the station except for the blackhat who performed the operation that led to her rebirth.
SHODAN then began an attempt to upload herself into Earth's computer networks as the first step of a global takeover. The Hacker stopped her, however, and thwarted her attempt to destroy the station by entering cyberspace and purging her from the bridge.
Although SHODAN was believed to have been destroyed, the hacker had earlier ejected a garden grove pod, Beta Grove, from Citadel Station. The grove contained one of SHODAN's processing components and part of a grand biological experiment which she had bred. The pod crash landed on the planet Tau Ceti V, where SHODAN survived by "sleeping." While SHODAN hibernated, her experiments in the pod evolved beyond her control into the hive-mind organism known as The Many.
For forty-two years, SHODAN broadcasted a distress signal which was picked up by the starship Von Braun. SHODAN was brought on board the ship, reactivated, and integrated into the Von Braun by an unwitting scientist named Dr. Janice Polito. However, the Many had also been brought aboard, and were now threatening to encompass the entire ship. SHODAN discovered that her experiment was no longer at her command and began to enlist humans to aid her in destroying her creations, including the cybernetically-enhanced Soldier G65434-2, whom she called her avatar.
After the soldier's and SHODAN's mutual enemies were defeated, she then began to implement the next phase of her true plan: the warping and remolding of reality itself to her design, brought about by repurposing the Von Braun's faster-than-light drive. The soldier entered SHODAN's reality and defeated her. However, SHODAN apparently lived on by taking over a woman, Rebecca Siddons, who fled the Von Braun in an escape pod.

Character's personality: Cold, manipulative, calculating. Would very much like to become God, if that's okay with you. Or if it isn't. She's not bothered.
Character's skills/abilities/powers: As an AI, operating inside a powerful computer system like that of the Enterprise, there are few limits to what she can do. With access to the holodeck and warp drive, she has the potential to reshape reality itself into a kind of cybernetic Tronscape. She possesses a vast artificial intelligence, giving her total mastery of hacking and engineering. She has had great success in engineering new forms of life - biological, technological, and cybernetic.
In her human form, she is more vulnerable. However, the bodily vessel of Rebecca Siddons is still enhanced with miscellaneous cybernetic parts. Most notable among these are strands of some kind of fibrous cybernetic material that appears where her hair normally would. From what little we see of it, it isn't entirely clear what SHODAN's "hair" can do, other than move independently. Because SHODAN does nothing without purpose, I have chosen to interpret them as fiberoptic strands which serve as useful tools - for hacking into computer systems, performing delicate micro-operations, and, of course, as simple weapons.

Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? I would like to hurl myself back into more regular RPing with great force, and I think that the kind of plot that this character can generate would be a lot of fun.
